General Pencil Company

Founded in 1889 by Edward Weissenborn, a mechanical engineer who learned pencil-making in Germany, General Pencil Company was one of the first pencil factories in the US and is still a family run business to this day. They now create consistent, quality art and stationery products for artists' of all levels — from graphite, charcoal and chalk pencils to 'The Masters' brush cleaner and preserver.
